Indicative of the types of projects that CEDi has undertaken are the following:

Vesuvius UK Ltd.
The delivery of a voice and data cabling infrastructure supporting over 2000 outlets across four sites in the Yorkshire region. Part of an ongoing project, this installation centred around the use of shielded twisted pair cables for voice and data applications and included the installation of fibre optic back bone cables for data services and CW1308 multicore cables for voice applications. Due to the number of other trades working con- currently these very busy sites required tight co-ordination and careful planning of all cabling activities.

Remploy Ltd.
The upgrade of data/voice cabling infra- structures at over forty sites throughout the UK. The solutions adopted encompassed the use of unshielded twisted pair cables for local distribution and fibre optic cabling links for backbone applications. This project drew upon experience of working in user occupied environments without disturbing business activities. Each building was suc cessfully cabled to a very tight time scale, as the delivery of new applications to system users was critical.

County Communications
The installation of unshielded twisted pair
cables for EPOS systems throughout a chain of 98 retail stores across the UK. The project required CEDi to geographically group the sites and provide a written schedule of dates before commencement of the contract. All work had to be carried out between 5:30pm and 8:30am across a nine-week period. The contract was completed with no major problems or concerns.
